For several decades, the Linden-Museum Stuttgart has been home to numerous marble objects from Ghazni (Afghanistan), which from today's perspective represent a rather difficult legacy for the institution. In this context, "get:in" was created as a participatory game that allows museum visitors to experience the complexity of the objects beyond their purely figurative nature.
In its essence as a gamified mediation format, the project aims to break down existing barriers such as a lack of prior knowledge for the cultural participation of different user groups. The game as a medium is intended to offer a link to the visitors' everyday lives and inspire a young audience to engage with the topic. The game enables visitors to go beyond the consumption of content and make their own contribution to the exhibition in the form of a digital artifact.
finster3000 worked on the conception and implementation of the augmented reality game in a participatory process together with a broad range of authors. The format can be seen as part of the special exhibition "entangled" at the Linden Museum from January to July 2024. The project was funded by the Zentrum für kulturelle Teilhabe Baden-Württemberg (ZfKT)
