In November 2023 the Symposium "UNLOCKED - Gaming öffnet Kultur" took place at the ABK Stuttgart. finster3000 was co-curating the event together with ABK Inkubator and the Linden-Museum Stuttgart.

The symposium "UNLOCKED - Gaming öffnet Kultur" brought together different actors of cultural education and the gaming industry to connect them with each other. During 3 days of keynote speeches, panel discussions and practical workshops, connections, possible applications and future-oriented mediation methods have been discussed and experienced in practice. At the symposium, three fundamental aspects were addressed, which have an essential influence on the connection between gaming and culture: Accessibility, Collaboration and Experience. The symposium ceated a lively discourse about the future of the physical place 'museum', about interactive possibilities in mediation and about the chances that such an exhibition can mean for the role of the visitor.
