agora of the 21. century

developing a typology for contemporary communication

The 21. century has brought many major changes in communications technology as a result of the digital revolution. In addition to positive aspects, such as access to real-time information, the change has also created challenges. Access to information and discussion of topics of public interest happen in isolation via small screens like smartphones through constraining software frameworks.

The Agora of the 21. century uses opportunities of digital media to foster public discussion within an architectural environment. Through contemporary methods of displaying, the building is designed for people to receive information in a collective way, in order to amplify physical communication.
