documentary on our get:in project by the ZfKT
We’re thrilled to share that the Center for Cultural Participation has produced a documentary about our get:in project! This film takes a closer look at our collaborative work and the innovative approach we took to engage young people with the complex legacy of ethnological museums.
Together with Prof. Fahim Mohammadi (Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart), Sahra Latif, and Mike Schattschneider (Linden-Museum Stuttgart), we at Studio finster3000 developed a participatory Augmented Reality (AR) game. Our shared goal: to promote the active involvement of young museum visitors and create a space where they could reflect on and discuss the challenges and potential of ethnological museums.
The game was designed and produced through a collaborative process, allowing young participants to shape the narrative and engage deeply with the exhibition. By testing and playing the AR game, visitors became part of a collective effort to develop perspectives on the museum’s difficult heritage and envision new possibilities for its future.
A huge thank you to the Center for Cultural Participation for capturing this journey in such a thoughtful and inspiring documentary. We’re excited for everyone to get an inside look at the project’s process, challenges, and outcomes.
